I have never downloaded any ps3 games for fear of being banned from playstation network. i was wondering if there are there any similar (or worse) consequences for downloading pc games for free (other than the risks of getting a virus on torrents)

Other than the risks of unwanted things on your computer, there are some downsides to illegally downloading PC Games.

First, and the most rarest of all occasions, you are caught and fined for piracy of copyrighted content. This however, is near to almost impossible, cause it’s very hard for someone to track you. IP Addresses don’t give away your location, so they cannot find you, sometimes they can contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and they can sell you out, basically give out your information if the FBI and or Police are involved, they would need warrants and that would probably violate Privacy rights with your ISP. Again, this is highly unlikely, and they would not go so far for a $ 50 game downloaded illegally, this is mainly with mass pirating and fraud.

Besides that, the only other consequences, besides viruses as you said, would be maybe taking too much memory on your hard drive. Legally and Illegally downloaded games are usually large in file size and it could be a bother if you have a hairline of memory left on your hard drive, this isn’t really a consequence though, just a factor to keep in mind.

That being said, have fun.

P.S. I am in no way encouraging you to pirate / download illegal software, just informing you. (;

I would recommend Battlefield 3. It isn’t All about Jet Dog Fighting, but it is definitely a big part of the game.

okayy. my bestfreind is turning 21 in 2 weeks. I am planning a HUGE party for her. it’s gonna be in a big field && everyone is bringing tents so no one has to drive drunk… yay me! lol but I was wondering if anyone knew of any good websites with drinking games, ideas, and all that good stuff for a huge drinking party. kindaa project x type stuff, but not to that extreme lol

You could always play something like “Truth or Dare”… Sounds silly I know, but with a big group of drunken youngsters it could get very… interesting haha 8 )

Apples to Apples is a great game that like 8 people can play and it’s easy enough you can play while you’re drunk although it isn’t a “drinking game”

Know anyone with a film projector? If you so, hang a sheet between some trees, or if there’s a side of a building, you could watch a movie, outside… We’ve done it before it’s pretty amazing…!!

You could have a bonfire, bring hot dogs and stuff to make smores. Ever try smores with a Reese cup instead of a hershey bar? Amazing!

You could always bring a game like horseshoe or bags, but I don’t know what kind of crowd you’re talking about. Some crowds like that stuff, some crowds don’t.

Good luck, and be safe! It’s AWESOME you’re getting tents so people don’t drive drunk. Way to go! 8)

You really can’t. But, most games are very configurable, or you can configure your controller software to behave differently in different games. Some game controllers even have game profiles already available.
